1.  Where is the MTN ePresence service offered?
MTN ePresence is available at the following hotel locations:

  • Le Méridien Ogeyi Place, 45 Tombia Street, GRA Phase II, Port Harcourt.
  • Southern Sun Ikoyi Hotel, Alfred Rewane Road, Ikoyi, Lagos.

3.  How do I pay for an MTN ePresence session?

4.  What is the payment term?
You will need to have made a full payment at least a day before you use the service.

7. How is MTN ePresence different from video conferencing?
MTN ePresence is based on an entirely new technology and delivers a radically different experience:
  • In-person feeling – You see life-size, full-motion video with such high resolution that it reveals even the subtest facial expression. CD-quality sounds add to the in-person experience. You can interrupt and otherwise interact as naturally as if you were in the same room.
  • Simplicity – You just touch a button on a desk phone in the suite to start your call. You can use the phone’s hold, mute, and conference features the same way you do during a phone call. 
8. Who can use MTN ePresence?
MTN ePresence facility is open to anybody, for both business and personal meetings. Sample uses include:
  • Maintaining “face time” with sales prospects, customers, and partners without travel, especially for follow-up meetings
  • Corporate training: simultaneously train employees at multiple sites to save on travel expense and time spent on the road
  • Job Interviews
  • Designing and brainstorming sessions
  • Staff meetings
  • Recruiting: screening interviews, client reviews
  • Legal: negotiations, witness preparation, depositions
  • Financial: client meetings, due diligence, board meetings
  • Management of remote employees
  • Connecting with family members
  • Board of directors and advisory board meetings
9. Can I use MTN ePresence for an international session?
  • MTN ePresence is currently only available in Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt.
  • MTN ePresence shall be available internationally in the near future.
10. How far ahead of time do I need to schedule?
Schedule at least 24 hours before the meeting start time. We recommend that you schedule as far ahead of time as you can. Scheduled meetings must be cancelled at least 48 hours in advance.
11. Is MTN ePresence available to non MTN subscribers?
MTN ePresence is available to both MTN and non MTN subscribers.
12. How many people can I include, and in how many locations?
There needs to be at least two people to hold an ePresence session. This means one person each in any two of the locations.
13. What is the maximum number of people that can participate in an MTN ePresence?
The maximum number is 6 per location.
14. What is the minimum length of time an MTN ePresence session takes?
The minimum length of time for an ePresence session is 1 hour.
15. What is the maximum length of time an MTN ePresence session takes?
The minimum length of time for an ePresence session is 14 hours (Full Day Session).
16. How secure is the MTN ePresence session?
The network is fully secure, as validated by third-party auditors. Nobody can access the audio and video images that travel between MTN ePresence rooms.
17. Can I record my MTN ePresence session?
This feature will be available in the future.
18. How do I start and end an MTN ePresence session?
Instructions on how to an MTN ePresence session contained in the MTN ePresence Quick Start Guide available in each of the MTN ePresence rooms in the three hotel locations.
19. When I arrive at any MTN ePresence locations, how will I know where to go and what to do?
A staff member of the hotel personnel will greet you and walk you through the process. We recommend that you arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of your meeting.
20. What do the MTN ePresence rooms look like, and what’s the room setup?
The rooms look like the high-end meeting rooms that you’re familiar with and are furnished with a conference table and comfortable seating. The difference is that one side of the conference table has plasma displays instead of chairs. The other participants will appear to be sitting on the other side of the table, in life size. Rooms have a Cisco® Unified IP Phone you use to start your meeting and request help. Complimentary coffee, tea, and water are available in all rooms.
21. What if I need help?
There will be a separate intercom in the room for you to reach hotel staff for assistance.
22. Can I extend the session?
Yes. This however, is subject to availability.
23. How do I pay for room extension?
At the end of your session, you will receive a final invoice. Any outstanding charges will need to be paid within 7 days through our payment method.
24. Can I share documents?
The document sharing feature shall be available in the near future.
