EFCC arrests NBC chairman, staff in N15 billion alleged fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested the chairman of the National Broadcasting Commission, Emeka Mba over N15 billion alleged fraud. Some staff of the accounts unit of the NBC were also arrested for questioning.
The anti graft agency has been investigating the NBC for the past one month. The EFCC reportedly searched the Finance and Accounts unit of the broadcasting commission, checking computers and files.
EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren could not be reached for confirmation of the report as his phone rang out several times without response; but a source hinted that the N15 billion may be related with the arms procurement fund that was allegedly shared among individuals.
Those implicated so far include the former National Security adviser himself, Col. Sambo Dasuki, Chief Raymond Dokpesi who is alleged to have received N2.1 billion. Others also include Chief Tony Anenih, PDP spokesman, Olisa Metuh, former governor of Sokoto state, Attahiru Bafarawa, Chief Olu Falae, Chief Bode George.
